On October 22, a special ceremony was held in a magnificent baroque palace called Biebrich, located in Wiesbaden, Germany. A new short film has been released to expose the truth about sexual harassment in the electronic music industry. The film is called “When the Music Ends” and was created by Berlin-based production house Spilled Milk, directed by Mo Kanaan and starring British DJ and producer Rebekah. The film is based on true stories from people who have remained anonymous and is based on a study by the Electronic Music Inclusion Initiative (EMII). The documentary “ Techno – the dream sold” , made in 1995 by East Germany’s Radio Brandenburg, tells the story of the “rise and fall of the rave generation” through interviews with journalists, music store owners and celebrities of the time, such as Dr. Motte and Jürgen Laarmann. The documentary tackles topics that are still relevant today, such as self-promotion and selfishness in the electronic music scene.
