EXIT festival supports UN World Food Programme through Life Stream Project

EXIT festival in partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the world's largest humanitarian organization, is launching the next step of Life Stream Project to galvanize efforts towards the COVID-19 response to alleviate the suffering of millions who have lost their livelihoods to the pandemic and are falling deeper into hunger. EXIT Festval announce new dates in August 2020

It’s official!  EXIT Festival’s 20th Anniversary edition will take place from 13th to 16th August 2020  After the epidemic ended in most of the countries in the Balkans, the Serbian Prime Minister asked EXIT Festival not to cancel, but instead, take place later i n the summer.  This news shook the music industry last week and provided much-needed hope for the return of live music events.  Now, after additional consultations, the new dates for the 20th birthday of the world renowned Serbian festival are finally set from 13 to 16 August this year!  The Exit team announced that the whole event will be organised in close cooperation with the National Health Coordination team and they will follow all health and government guidelines.  As one of the measures, the festival capacity will be reduced and some of the moats and trenches that host around 40 stages and zones will remain closed.  The ticket sales will restart on June 1st with all details including refund options as well as the updat

Serbia’s PM Asked EXIT Festival Not To Cancel But Instead Take Place in August 2020

Although the Serbian globally acclaimed EXIT Festival has already announced that it will not be held in its standard format and dates this year, Ana Brnabic, Serbia’s Prime Minister, has asked organizers not to cancel the festival, but rather postpone it to August.  Brnabic said that having in mind drastic improvement of health situation in Serbia as well as in many countries of Europe the recommendation is given by the country’s health experts assembled in a National Crisis Team is to go ahead with the festival this summer:  „We recommend to move the festival to August because we expect that the situation (with pandemic) in the whole of Europe will be totally under control by then”, she said in the city of Novi Sad, known as home to the EXIT Festival in the past 20 years.  The organizers stated that they are also welcoming the latest predictions by the health experts in Serbia and the rest of the Balkan region and expressed willingness to reduce the capacity of the event and take all

Sea Star Festival rescheduled for May 2021

Due to the measures announced by the authorities and the current global crisis, as of today, Sea Star Festival is officially postponed to May 2021.   Sea Star Festival , Umag, Croatia 28-29 MAY 2021 This makes Sea Star the only festival in Croatia and the whole region to not only have new dates , but also performance conformations by all previously announced acts. That music can indeed help change society is not a new idea for EXIT , the award-winning music festival that started two decades ago as a youth movement for peace and freedom in Serbia and the Balkans.  Twenty years later, EXIT is still a force for change and supports social and environmental issues. The Serbian Government has just adopted EXIT’s Green R:Evolution initiative in which the Festival juggernaut, backed by several local environmental organizations, calls for the mass reforestation that will increase the country’s forest cover by almost 50%. The Serbian Government has begun developing strategic plans for countrywide mass planting actions according to which Serbia's forest cover is expected to increase from the current 28% to at least 40% of the country’s total surface area. EXIT Festival 's big  20 years  celebration will take place from  9 to 12 July 2020  at the 18th century  Petrovaradin Fortres s, overlooking the Danube to festival's hometown  Novi Sad  in Serbia.  Various styles of  electronic ,  rock ,  metal  and  hip-hop music  in a diverse lineup that  EXIT  is known for.  David Guetta, Tyga, James Arthur, Fatboy Slim, Boris Brejcha, Sepultura, Meduza, ARTBAT and Zhu , to name a few, will be playing one of world's most beloved and award-winning festivals that started as a peace and freedom movement back in 2000. EXIT 2.0 starts a new festival era with a grand celebration of its 20th birthday

After this year’s edition of EXIT Festival which was the most successful ever by many standards, next year, from July 9th to 12th, the festival will celebrate its 20th birthday! The home of the festival, the medieval  Petrovaradin Fortress , will be the global music scene’s focus come July, with more than 40 stages and zones hosting some of the biggest music stars of today, as well as several selected EXIT acts from the previous two decades, whose performances have earned them a firm place in the festival’s history. Under the  symbolical  slogan of  EXIT 2.0,  the festival marks the beginning of its  new era , announcing numerous innovations in all areas of its activities. “The entire  EXIT  team, as well as our friends and artists, are determined to surpass even the record-breaking years behind us in order to bring the best edition of the festival and an entirely new EXIT, ready to take on the next twenty years!”, said  Dušan Kovačević , founder of the festival.
