Sunny Hill, Uran B, and Vegim Among the Region’s Best

Kosovo Representatives Nominated for the 2025 Ambassador Electronic Music Awards

The nominations for the 9th edition of the Ambassador Electronic Music Awards have been announced, and the jury and public voting are now officially open.

Across 29 categories covering Croatia and the wider region, three names from Kosovo’s electronic scene stand out prominently:

The Sunny Hill Festival was held from August 1–3, 2025, at the Sunny Hill Festival Park in Prishtina (Bërnicë e Poshtme). Founded by Dua Lipa and her father Dukagjin Lipa, the festival has, for years, positioned Prishtina as a serious destination on the European festival map.

Uran B, a Prishtina-based DJ, is already recognized as one of the key figures of Kosovo’s underground scene. As a co-founder of the Hapësira collective and the event series Kissmet, Uran B. continuously contributes to shaping local club culture while making his mark on regional stages.

“The nomination for the prestigious Ambassador Award in Croatia, in the category Best Regional DJ 2025, represents a special moment in my career. It’s a great honor to see my work recognized on a regional level, and I am sincerely grateful to everyone who supports me. Every vote and every message of support means a lot to me.”
Uran B.

The nomination for Remix of the Year went to Vegim, producer, DJ, and founder of Alhena Records. His remix “What’s This All About (Vegim Remix)”, released as part of the Osadki EP in October 2025, perfectly blends raw, deep, and hypnotic techno elements. This work not only confirms Vegim’s production maturity and artistic depth but also strengthens Alhena’s position as a key player on the Balkan techno map.

“The jury will have a tough job this year choosing the winner in the Remix of the Year category, as the nominated works are truly outstanding. I’m thankful that Ambassador continues to support the effort, ideas, and energy I put into every track.”
Vegim

Let’s not forget that in 2023, Kuju Studio from Gjakova won the award for Best Artistic Production, while last year, the Prishtina club Zone was recognized as Best Regional Club, reaffirming that Kosovo’s electronic music scene continues to grow stronger each year.

The Ambassador Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the legendary Boogaloo Club in Zagreb — a venue that has shaped Croatia’s and the region’s club culture for decades.
Public voting is open until November 5 at midnight on the official Ambassador Awards website.

“For nine years, we’ve been working on a project that gives greater media visibility to electronic music and its creators, valuing their work and contribution. I remember our beginnings when we didn’t even realize how important a project we had produced.
What makes me happiest is that once a year, we all gather, exchange ideas, and meet new people from the scene. The Croatian and regional scenes are full of quality projects, and it’s impossible to keep track of them all — that’s why Ambassador acts as a reminder, even a kind of encyclopedia of knowledge.
For me, the awards ceremony is an excellent platform to meet new creatives and reconnect with old colleagues I’ve collaborated with for years. Whether you’re nominated or not, everyone should make time once a year to attend Ambassador and feel the spirit and energy that drive this project.
The fact that everything is done out of enthusiasm, with very limited funding, speaks volumes. We have many ideas, some already realized, others in the works. As we approach our 10th anniversary, we’re preparing to open a new chapter in international cultural exchange in the Balkans — a major step for electronic music artists across Southeast Europe.”
Goran Tomasevic, founder of the Ambassador Awards.

The expert jury, composed of renowned authors, promoters, producers, and journalists, will decide the winners through secret voting.
This year’s slogan is “Back to the Roots” — a return to club culture, community, creativity, and underground spirit.

Launched in 2016, Ambassador is the first and only independent electronic music award connecting Croatia’s and the region’s electronic industry. Over the years, it has become a platform for collaboration, idea exchange, and affirmation of electronic sound as a vital part of the cultural and creative scene.
The awards honor artists, performers, festivals, clubs, radio shows, organizers, and young talents — encouraging creativity and professional growth within the scene.

The project is co-financed by the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media and Gizeh, organized by Udruga Klubska Kultura, and traditionally presented by Klubska Scena.
