Contest for bands: “Play at EXIT”

EXIT Festival and Visa are opening the Play at EXIT competition for the selection of four new author bands or performers who will perform on the Visa Fusion Stage , from July 8 to 11 , as a part of the big celebration of two decades of the Exit Festival in Novi Sad.   Bands and musicians can apply via the app on this link from June 5th to 15th.  After that, the selection team, composed of multi-year EXIT program managers, will select four names. All of them will have the opportunity to perform on the Visa Fusion Stage, the most influential festival stage in this area dedicated to regional performers.  The competition is open to musicians who perform their songs live, regardless of whether they have a publisher or not.  Through performances on this stage of rich history, EXIT and Visa encourage the work and development of new author bands.  It is necessary for all interested parties to send at least two of their songs available on one of the streaming services via the FORM , and t

EXIT Festval announce new dates in August 2020

It’s official!  EXIT Festival’s 20th Anniversary edition will take place from 13th to 16th August 2020  After the epidemic ended in most of the countries in the Balkans, the Serbian Prime Minister asked EXIT Festival not to cancel, but instead, take place later i n the summer.  This news shook the music industry last week and provided much-needed hope for the return of live music events.  Now, after additional consultations, the new dates for the 20th birthday of the world renowned Serbian festival are finally set from 13 to 16 August this year!  The Exit team announced that the whole event will be organised in close cooperation with the National Health Coordination team and they will follow all health and government guidelines.  As one of the measures, the festival capacity will be reduced and some of the moats and trenches that host around 40 stages and zones will remain closed.  The ticket sales will restart on June 1st with all details including refund options as well as the updat

"MOST" - Connecting Balkan Artists

In order to contribute to the development of the music industry in the Balkans and to promote performers in the international market, the “EXIT Foundation” has partnered with the four-year project "MOST - the Bridge for Balkan Music".  Each year ten Balkan performers will receive support and greater visibility on the global music scene, during this four-year project.  Calls are open for urban creatives, managers, and other professionals in the music industry, as well as for festivals.  The EXIT Foundation, together with its project partners, will use different strategies over the next four years to foster the careers of many talented artists , managers , festivals and institutions to tackle all obstacles to a mutually beneficial exchange between the Balkans and the rest of the world.  The project involves Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Romania and Albania.  Funded by Creative Europe , MOST -

Italian club Cocoricò to reopen with new name after eight-month closure

The Rimini venue, which shut in June 2019 after a 30-year run, is now called Le Cocorico Riccione, AKA Cocco. The Italian club Cocoricò will reopen on 12th April 2020 with a new name. The venue closed as a result of being declared bankrupt in June 2019 after a 30-year run. On April 12th, Cocoricò will open its doors again for the relaunch party called, "Everybody calls me Cocco," a short version of its new name, Le Cocorico Riccione.  The lineup for reopening night, which starts at 11 PM and will go till 6 AM, and future programming are still TBA. Known for its glass pyramid roof, Cocoricò was one of the most famous clubs in Europe at its height. It had originally opened as a restaurant in 1989, later hosting the likes of Carl Cox, Tale Of Us, Richie Hawtin, Juan Atkins and Fatboy Slim over the years. Watch a teaser for the reopening party. Electronic events raise money for the homeless

DJ Bone explains how he helps homeless people in Amsterdam through parties. DJ Bone from Detroit  is currently living in Amsterdam with his wife where he presented a project called the Homeless Homies Benefit Showcase at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). It was held at the Shelter Club where DJ Bone is currently a resident of DJ and the name of the club is symbolic in this case. All the money raised at this ADE event will go to two homeless shelters in Amsterdam . One of the shelters accommodates the homeless during the day and the other during the night. Eric and Ahna (DJ Bone and his wife) have been helping homeless people sell music on his Subject Detorit label for a long time, and over time this has become an organization operating in Detroit and Amsterdam.
