UNVRS is a brand-new club in Ibiza, set to open in the summer of 2025.  It is being called the world’s first "hyperclub," offering an experience like never before. Located at the site of the former Privilege club, UNVRS promises to change the nightlife scene with a mix of luxury, top-tier service, and the massive scale of an event arena. Umek has launched a brand-new sub-label called 1605 GrooveSector. This new project is part of his label 1605 and is dedicated to hardgroove and raw techno sounds . At the end of February, Umek introduced 1605 GrooveSector with a special EP titled "Mechanically Intensive" . With this release, he also revived his old alter-ego, Polyvinyl . Back in the late 90s , Umek used the name Polyvinyl to release hardgroove tracks on the ABsense label . Later, he continued his journey through various projects, including the legendary label Recycled Loops , which he started in 1999 with Valentino Kanzyani . With 1605 GrooveSector , Umek is bringing back the energy of classic hardgroove techno , offering fans a fresh and powerful sound.  Stay tuned for more exciting releases from this new sub-label!

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) announced their dates for 2025, and it’s going to be one of the biggest parties ever!  by ADE From October 22 to October 26, 2025, the whole city of Amsterdam will turn into one giant music festival. A new documentary film about the life and career of Carl Craig , a Detroit DJ, producer, and label owner , has been released.  The film, "DESIRE: The Story of Carl Craig," premiered last year at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York . It is described as an "intimate portrait" of the legendary techno DJ and also as a "tribute to his beloved city, Detroit." The film's teaser gives a glimpse into the full 90-minute documentary , which features Moodymann, Laurent Garnier, Roni Size, Gilles Peterson, and many others. "DESIRE" will be released by Sovereign Films in the United Kingdom and Ireland on May 8 , after its premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival next month.  A brand-new synthesizer museum has opened in Berlin ! The Synthesizer Museum Berlin officially welcomed visitors on February 12, 2025 , at Skalitzer Straße 135A , in the Kreuzberg district . The museum features a permanent collection of more than 50 synthesizers , produced between 1970 and 2000 , which have played a major role in shaping electronic music over the decades. This museum is also a showroom for the nearby Synthesizer Studio Berlin , where musicians can use rare instruments to create and record their own music. Visitors will have the chance to try out all the synthesizers on display and experience the magic of electronic sound. In addition to the exhibits, the museum will also host exclusive music events and lectures . Guess what? The legendary track “Breathe” by The Prodigy just got a fresh new dub twist!  The talented Egoless , also known as Ognjen Zečević, has dropped two dub versions of this iconic song.  The release comes under the British label Deep Medi Musik , which also put out his 2023 album “Dubternal” . If you didn’t know, “Breathe” was originally released in 1996 on The Prodigy’s album The Fat of the Land . But here’s a cool fact – the song was first performed live in Belgrade on December 8, 1995! It was the first big concert there after the breakup of Yugoslavia, and the track became a symbol of freedom for many who grew up in the ‘90s. The famous electronic music duo, Underworld , recently performed at the world-famous Sydney Opera House, a true architectural masterpiece.
