French techno legend Laurent Garnier just said something important:
He’s done playing at big festivals. From now on, he’ll only play at small clubs that keep the real underground spirit alive.
“I don’t want to be a dusty jukebox,” he said in an interview. “Nightlife is for the youth.”
Garnier wants to do only 10 shows per year, but only in places that feel true to the music and the culture. 🔥
He says:
“This music came from clubs. We haven’t forgotten where we came from.”
Respect, Laurent! 🙌
Even though he's stepping back, he still has a few shows left this year in places like Japan, Portugal, and around Europe.
