Mayday is probably the most traditional, long-standing event for electronic dance music, and on April 30th it will celebrate 33 years of existence. It has been called the " mother of all raves " or the " holiday of electronic music culture ". It has already spread to countries like Poland, Russia, Hungary and Belgium. This year's edition of the German cult rave begins with over 30 performances on four floors.  This year's motto is "United" Maydaya music unites "unity, respect and acceptance" and thus connects people. Mayday is a "celebration of life, love and the enduring power" of electronic music.  Oliver Vordemvenne, from the organizing agency I-Motion, points out that music unites:  "people, cultures and generations".
