A Night at Exit 2024: From the Perspective of a Clubber/Journalist

You can find all that on Exit's official website.  Instead, I'll try to paint a picture of one evening/night at the festival from my perspective —how the eyes, soul, and other senses of a long-time clubber (and journalist) experienced one of my favorite festivals. To better understand why you might consider my opinion on the festival, I'll share a bit about myself. I'm 45 years old and have been a clubber since I was two. It sounds surreal, but it's my truth . My love for music and dancing started on my dad's lap as he bounced me to the rhythm of the music. Documentary: Watch a feature-length documentary about the life of Laurent Garnier

The documentary features interviews with Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Miss Kittin and many other important actors from the electronic scene.  The European public service dedicated to culture ARTE published a feature-length documentary about the life of French DJ Laurent Garnier.  The story of the life, work and actions of the legendary Frenchman is called "Off the Record", was filmed between 2017 and 2019 and was originally released in cinemas in France in 2021, and was directed by Gabin Rivoire.  "Off the Record" in its ninety minutes brings an exclusive interview with Garnier, who reveals details from his childhood, youth, his first musical steps and the experience he gained in his long career.  The story of the legendary DJ is complemented by in-depth interviews with various greats of electronic music such as Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Miss Kittin and others.  You can watch the documentary for free on ARTE's online platform by clicking HERE . Carl Cox announced the album "Electronic Generations", after a 10-year hiatus

The new "epic techno" song with which Carl Cox announces the album, ' How It Makes You Feel', was created in collaboration with Nicole Moudaber. The album comes out Sept. 16 via BMG , and under the name ‘ Electronic Generations ’ with 17 songs is the culmination of Cox’s hybrid live sets , which he has released over the past few years. “As someone who performs live or as a DJ I can play all over the world and see people enjoying and sharing the experience of living together and dancing,” he said. "I gathered all the elements I learned by watching those atmospheres, I added my own sound and tried to bring you a true electronic music experience."
