Adriana Lopez, a Colombian electronic artist hailed as one of techno's most influential figures by London's Fabric, has opened the doors to her studio.  Born in Colombia, Adriana Lopez entered the electronic scene in Bogotá in the late 90s, taking her place behind the DJ desk for the first time.  A significant milestone in her career came when she moved to Barcelona in 2003 to pursue studies in audio engineering and music production. Barcelona became her home, and her career soared to great heights.  Fabric , based in London, acknowledged her immeasurable contributions to the techno genre in her 20-year career.  Her influence extends not only in Colombia but also throughout South America.  To establish a platform for her releases, she launched her own label, Gray Report, in 2013. The first digital edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event

 The 25th edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event will take place from 21 to 25 October 2020, for the first time in digital format. This year's program also includes several COVID concerts with mandatory seating and physical distance, as well as intercultural projects called ADE Specials.   This part will be held in Amsterdam in cooperation with the city council. The latest announcement by the Dutch government about the clubs represents another blow to the electronic music industry, says project manager Jan-Willem van de Ven:  " Clubs and music venues form the backbone of Amsterdam's nightlife and are incredibly important in shaping and innovating the city's cultural identity, residents and visitors. Without them, electronic music loses an integral part of its culture and industry, and that is why it needs all the support of the government. New exhibition of electronic music and international club culture in London

A new exhibition called " Electronic " that explores global club culture and the impact of electronic music, is opening at London’s Design Museum  in April 2020. Featuring a soundtrack curated by Laurent Garnier, the exhibition will explore club culture in the UK, Berlin, Detroit, Paris and Chicago, as well as highlighting contributions from artists including Jeff Mills, Ellen Allien, Andreas Gursky and Jean-Michel Jarre. At the Design Museum, techno can be heard over speakers right from the start, and the space’s black walls, blue spotlights, mesh panels and bare scaffolding are clearly intended to evoke the club. Evoking the experience of being in a club, the exhibition will transport you through the people, art, design, technology and photography that have been shaping the electronic music landscape. Co-Founder of Kraftwerk, Florian Schneider, Has Died

German electronic artist and the co-founder of the band Kraftwerk, Florian Schneider has died at the age of 73. According to a statement from the band's co-founder Ralf Hütter, Schneider passed away due to a bout with cancer, having just recently celebrated his birthday days ago.  The duo originally connected in 1968 and went on to establish Düsseldorf’s famous Kling-Klang-Studio , eventually forming and launching their band Kraftwerk in 1970 . Schneider helped to push the needle of electronic and dance sounds through recordings with the group including albums Autobahn , Radio Activity, The-Man Machine and others before departing from the band in 2008 to pursue a solo career. Along with Kraftwerk , Schneider became well known for fusing his instrumentation on synthesizer and vocoder with dance and pop sensibilities to create heavily industrial takes on electronic. Research: Female DJs are growing in popularity at the speed of light

IMS Ibiza is the Global Electronic Music Industry Survey and the following informations are related to social networks and TV advertising. Charlotte de Witte had the biggest fan growth. This data shows that their fans grew much faster than the five DJs with the largest number of fans - Marshmello, David Guetta, Alan Walker, Calvin Harris, Skrillex. In 2018, Amelie Lens doubled the number of fans across all social networks compared to the year before. After appearing at 25, the anniversary of Time Warp had a fourfold increase in fans on a daily basis. Leading global brands are signing contracts with well-known female DJs who participate in publicity campaigns.
