Call for producers: Beatport x Absolut NYE Remix Challenge

Ahead of Beatport's global NYE livestream celebration to #danceaway2020, they've teamed up with Absolut to present ther final remix competition of the year!  The track in question is a Hott 22 vocal mix of the Roland Clark presents Urban Soul dance floor anthem, "President House."  The remixer with the winning submission will receive $5000 in gear, subscriptions, plugins, and more from acclaimed music companies and an official release on the seminal house and garage imprint, King Street Sounds.  But that's not all!  The winning track will also get a global premiere from one of our DJs during Beatport x Absolut's New Year's Eve livestream — a 20+ hour celebration hitting 15 different time zones around the world with DJs such as Carl Cox, Nastia, Jamie Jones, TOKiMONSTA, and more!  Click below to download the a capellas, learn the guidelines, and get started.  The competition ends on Friday, December 18th, at 12:00 am PST  Apply HERE ! Q&A - Lag [Teskoba, SR]

* Hi Lag, thank you for your time, and for the interview. Can you give us a short introduction to you?  L: Hi, I’m Lag. I’m a Serbian producer of, well, mostly broken techno. I release on MORD, THEM and a few other labels. I also DJ, mostly around Europe, although I just came back from a US tour. Your latest releases on: Mord Records / Unkown Entity / Stale / Soul Notes, were impressive as always.  * What inspires your production?  L: It really varies from track to track. I usually start with a genre or track that I really love and an idea. Most of my original music comes from a concept, a non-musical idea that I want to transfer to the musical form and most of the remixes come from how I've heard the sounds of the original in my head. I sometimes stick hard to what I had envisioned (which often makes the process long and tedious, but pays off in the end) but more often I lay down the original idea and start experimenting, seeing where that takes me.  * What equipment are you cur
