There is a brand new and super cool record player called Hotaru, made by Audio-Technica. It’s not just any record player—it floats in the air and lights up! Yes, you read that right!
Hotaru means “firefly” in Japanese, and just like a firefly, it glows in the dark. But what makes it really special is that the top part of the record player levitates (that means it floats!) thanks to magnets. This helps stop vibrations, so your music sounds even better and clearer.
The top is made of clear plastic called acrylic, and it has lights inside that can shine in one color, change between 20 different colors, or flash along with the music. So, when you play your favorite songs, the lights create a fun and magical show.
But wait—Hotaru doesn’t just look cool—it sounds amazing too! It uses a special needle that carefully plays every little sound from the vinyl record. The sound comes out through speakers that are built into the player, and you can even connect it to other speakers if you want it louder or bassier.
Here’s the big news: Only 1,000 Hotaru record players will be made, and each one costs $9,999. You can order one now, but only until May 30, 2025. The first Hotaru record players will be shipped in October 2025.
If you want to learn more or order one, go to the official Audio-Technica Hotaru website.
It's not just a record player—it's a floating, glowing music experience! 🎵✨
