Kosovo Once Again Among the Nominees for the Ambassador Award: Sunny Hill Festival, Toske and Vegim in the Running

Kosovo’s electronic music scene has three nominations for this year's Ambasador Award. The award is celebrating 10 years of existence, and with the announcement of the nominations, voting has begun for the 10th anniversary edition. It brings together the Croatian and regional electronic music scene and honors the best performers, authors, projects and festivals of 2026.

The awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 11, at Zagreb’s Boogaloo club, and the winners in 27 categories will be decided by the audience and the jury. The project is carried out by the Klubska Kultura association, while the award is traditionally presented by the Klubska Scena portal.

For Festival of the Year, in the category decided by the audience, Sunny Hill Festival has been nominated. The audience can cast their vote on the award’s website.

In the professional awards, decided by the expert jury, Toske is nominated for Club Track of the Year with his track “Trade Off,” released on Lost Space Dreams.

For Album of the Year, Vegim is nominated with the album “Magnetopause,” released on vinyl by TMM Records.

Sunny Hill Festival and Vegim were also nominated last year, so local and regional audiences are already well acquainted with their work.

This is not the first time Kosovo has been in the spotlight of this award. In 2023, the Ambasador Award for Best Artistic Production of the Year in the region went to Kuju Studio from Gjakova, led by Kushtrim Juniku.

A year later, in 2024, one of the special moments of the ceremony was the recognition given to Pristina’s Zone club, which was named Best Regional Club of the Year. Zone, the only club of its kind in Kosovo, contributes to the preservation and development of electronic music culture. It does so through a rich music program, support for local and international performers, and a constant commitment to strengthening the clubbing community.

Kosovo’s scene also achieved notable success in 2025. At the ninth edition, held at Boogaloo club, Kosovar artist Uran B. was named Best Regional DJ. The recognition further strengthened the visibility of Kosovo’s contemporary music scene in the region and beyond.

Special attention has been paid to transparency, so verification of every individual vote has been introduced. The audience can support their favorites on the award’s new, modernized website until October 28 at midnight.

The winners of the professional awards are decided by the expert jury, through the well-established secret ballot. The nominations emerged from a pre-nomination process in which several hundred proposals for performers, authors, projects, clubs and festivals were received this year. The jury consists of several dozen renowned authors, producers, promoters, designers, photographers, journalists, editors, organizers and club owners.

The new website also opens up the archive of the award’s ten years of work, bringing together in one place the people, projects and events that have shaped the Ambasador, as well as the development of electronic music in Croatia and the region.

The ceremony will open with the premiere of a short documentary about a decade of the Ambasador Award. Through archive footage, statements and photographs, the film returns to the project’s beginnings and the people who took part in its development, with special attention to the network of collaborations that has connected different generations of the scene. In addition to the categories decided by the audience and the jury, several unique awards for special contribution to the scene will be presented, selected this year by the Ambassador team.

Ambasador is the first and only independent music award for electronic music that connects the entire industry of Croatia and the region.

The project is co-financed by Croatia’s Ministry of Culture and Klubska Scena.
