Ambassador Award 2026: Tenth Anniversary Edition Announced – Applications Open, Kosovo Once Again in Regional Focus

The Ambassador Award, established in 2016 to recognize outstanding achievements in electronic music and to improve media visibility for the people behind them, is celebrating its tenth, anniversary edition this year. And once again, Kosovo has its place in this story.

The regional electronic music scene is entering a new chapter. From October 3 to 11, members of the expert jury will propose candidates across approximately 25 categories, after which the official nominations will be announced on October 14. This marks the start of the final phase of the selection process, with public and jury voting running for two weeks. The winners will be announced at a grand ceremony on November 11 at Zagreb's Boogaloo club.

This edition also introduces something new: the Ambasadors Award, which will be given to individuals, collectives or projects whose work has made a special contribution to the development and promotion of the electronic music scene. Unlike the other categories, this recognition will not be decided by the public or the jury, but directly by the award's organizers.

At this milestone tenth edition, DJs, live acts and bands will perform, with the event opening with a screening of a short documentary marking ten years of the Ambassador Award, and closing with an after-party in the small hall of Zagreb's Hram sreće. As in previous years, the award brings together all the actors of the Croatian and regional electronic music scene — from performers and producers to promoters and other cultural professionals. The project is co-financed by Croatia's Ministry of Culture and Media.

It is worth noting that Kosovo's electronic scene also achieved notable success at this prestigious regional award last year. At the ninth edition, held at Boogaloo, Kosovar artist Uran B. was named Best Regional DJ for 2025 — a recognition that further strengthened the visibility of Kosovo's contemporary music scene across the region and beyond. The Ambassador Award is presented by the Klubska Scena portal and organized by the Klubska Kultura association, with support from Croatia's Ministry of Culture and Media and the Gizeh brand.

2024 also carried Kosovo's mark. That year, the Ambassador Award was presented across as many as 35 categories, with Pristina's Zone club among the winners — further confirmation that Kosovo's electronic music scene is steadily gaining regional recognition.

With the tenth edition of the Ambassador Award approaching, it remains to be seen whether Kosovo will have a representative among the winners for a third consecutive year. All information on applications and the selection process is available on the award's official website.

Kosovo Clubbing has long been a member of the award's jury and continues to support Kosovar artists and their representation on the international stage. On this occasion, we invite all members of Kosovo's electronic music scene to come forward with their work (write at kosovoclubbing@gmail.com), so that we can review, listen to, and consider for nomination for this year's Ambassador Award.
