Ninth Edition of the Croatian “Ambasador” Awards Announced

The ninth edition of the Ambasador Awards — one of the most important regional recognitions for electronic music — will take place on November 19, 2025, at Zagreb’s Boogaloo Club, featuring a rich musical, artistic, and educational program.

Over the past nine years, Ambasador has become a key meeting point for the regional electronic music industry, recognized as a platform that values artistic contribution and strengthens collaboration across regional scenes.

Last year, one of the festival’s most memorable moments was the award given to Zone, a Prishtina-based club, named the Best Regional Club of the Year. As the only venue of its kind in Kosovo, Zone has been actively contributing to the preservation and development of electronic music culture for 14 years through a diverse music program, support for local and international artists, and commitment to strengthening the club community.

The founder of the Ambasador Awards, Goran Tomašević, emphasized the importance of collaboration and cultural exchange between countries in the region, highlighting recent connections with the Albanian and Kosovar scenes:

“After we were invited to the Muse-X fair in Tirana by the Kosovo Clubbing team, where we met many interesting people from the Albanian and regional industry and participated in panels, we concluded that there is great potential for collaboration between Albania and Croatia, or Albania and the Ambasador Awards.”

Tomašević added that the opening of joint initiatives is only a matter of time:

“It’s only a matter of days before this collaboration begins — with the goal of international exchange of award winners, showcase performances by Albanian DJs in Zagreb, and knowledge-sharing through mentorships, all to better connect the regional scenes.”

Important Dates

October 5–15, 2025 – Pre-nomination cycle
During this period, the expert jury and the editorial team of Klubska Scena will propose projects, artists, and authors for nominations. This year, the “Public Submissions” category has been removed, placing full responsibility in the hands of the jury and editors of the region’s most-read electronic music portal. The jury is composed of promoters, label founders, DJs, producers, journalists, and independent scene researchers from Croatia and the region. The full list of jury members will be made public at the awards ceremony, on social media, and on the official Ambasador website.

October 21, 2025 – Announcement of Nominations
Public and industry voting will be open from October 21 to November 5. Changes in the structure of jury and audience awards will also be announced at that time.

November 19, 2025 – Awards Ceremony
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Boogaloo Club (Zagreb), featuring an abstract art exhibition as part of the warm-up program. The event will also include high-quality live performances, DJ sets, and a unique opening inspired by techno fashion. The warm-up and after-party will be curated by DJs from the New Wave of Klubska Scena.

November 20, 2025 – Educational Program “Jezgra”
“Jezgra” is Klubska Scena’s educational initiative and will host panels with renowned industry figures discussing key topics in electronic music. The full program will be revealed soon.

The Ambasador Awards, founded in 2016 by the Klubska Scena portal in collaboration with the Klubska Kultura association, brings together leading figures of the Croatian and regional electronic scene to promote creativity, exchange ideas, and strengthen regional ties.

Like every year, the ninth edition of Ambasador will reaffirm the importance of regional connection and joint work in promoting electronic culture — through inspiring performances, artistic showcases, and new opportunities for collaboration across the Balkans.
