The design of the Temple of Together at this year's Burning Man by Caroline Ghosn beautifully depicts the light that emerges when we connect with all parts of ourselves and the unity we share with all living beings.
The dominant motif in the design is the depiction of two hands joined in prayer, with the flow of the sculpture's energy merging and then erupting upwards.
The joining of two hands is a common gesture in almost all spiritual traditions, symbolizing unity, humility and respect. This is literally shown by the two hands forming an arch at the entrance of the name "6:00".
The temple is represented more abstractly in the Neo-Gothic pointed arches that are repeated throughout the design, which also recall the layered, geometric shapes and symmetry of the Art Deco style of a century ago.
In this time of global challenges and conflicts, we are called to find strength in unity and be seen, loved and inspired.
This year, Burning Man takes place from August 25 to September 2.
