Greece: Reworks Festival with new 19th Edition

As the 19th edition of Reworks Festival, set to take place from September 20th to 24th, 2023, approaches its two-decade milestone, it continues to set the pace for electronic music trends. 

The event will host over 40 DJ & Live sets, spotlighting contemporary electronic music and its interplay with various musical genres, all within the vibrant city of Thessaloniki.

In their initial announcement, the festival revealed an impressive lineup, featuring global stalwarts like Paul Kalkbrenner, ARTBAT, Maceo Plex, MATHAME, Mind Against, among others. Additionally, the festival announced a momentous concert by Stereo Nova, marking their return to Thessaloniki after an astonishing 27-year hiatus.

Reworks has championed the cause of introducing emerging artists destined for future stardom. Over the years, the festival has premiered over 500 artists in Greece, including notable names like Moderat in 2010, Nicolas Jaar in 2011, Tale Of Us in 2013, Bicep in 2014, Adriatique in 2016, and Anfisa Letyago in 2022.

Reworks is introducing 14 new artist entries, inviting festival-goers to discover these promising talents, poised to leave an indelible mark with their performances. 

The Hellenic electronic scene will be well represented at Reworks.

The festival will showcase more talent from Greece and Cyprus, with names like Scot Dech, Everlyn, Unique, sp33dy julie, Paradise X, and Pinelopi joining the roster of Greek artists. 

Reworks has consistently upheld its commitment to presenting the electronic scene of Greece, maintaining an impressive 50% representation of domestic artists.

The lineup for Reworks 2023 boasts renowned figures including the Greek debut of fan-favorite ARTBAT

Returning after five years, headliner Maceo Plex is set to bring his signature sound to Thessaloniki, joined by GusGus who promise to deliver an unforgettable live show. 

The festival will also feature Mind Against and Mathame, known for their melodic prowess. Ben Klock, Ellen Allien, Daria Kolosova, Daniel Avery, and MARRØN will infuse Reworks with their dynamic sets, promising a festival experience to remember.

Voting for the Ambassador Award has ended

Voting for the best achievements in electronic music for the 2024 Croatian Ambassador Awards has ended.  It is awarded for the eighth time in a row by the Klubska Scena portal , and the project is implemented by the Klubska Kultura association.  The award ceremony will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, at KUC Travno Zagreb, where the program will be opened for the first time with the exhibition of the most famous regional photographer Marko Obradović Edge called "Totalka".  The two-day program will be enriched by musical performances by bands and live acts and a discursive program that will be held the following day, December 14, in the Zagreb hip Radionica 32.
