From a DJ competition to a label - Let's Mix It! Records

While we await the upcoming release of Let’s Mix It! DJ competitions, Let's Mix It! are coming up details about their new project.

For several years, Let's Mix It! has been opening doors for young, promising, and undiscovered DJs and producers from the region through their DJ competition and music production course.

Recently, Let's Mix It! has expanded its activities by launching Let's Mix It! Records, a platform aimed at showcasing the future of regional electronic music.

Marko Milićević, better known as Gramophonedzie and the label's owner shared more about the idea behind Let's Mix It! Records.

"Let's Mix It! Records aims to help our DJs grow as producers and gain visibility on the global stage. Alongside DJing, we want to enhance their music production skills, as we believe it's an essential part of DJs' career advancement and the development of the local scene. We understand that many face challenges in presenting their first releae and finding a suitable label to support them in building their portfolio. Our team is committed to improving, supporting, and assisting young creatives in the electronic scene in every possible way." - said Marko Milićević.

The Let's Mix It! Records team works closely with young producers, providing guidance and support in all aspects of their creative and managerial journey towards greater popularity.

Regarding the label's requirements, Let’s Mix It! Records will release any tracks they believe have musical and technical potential, and they are open to all genres of electronic music.

They assure us that they listen to every demo they receive and provide feedback with guidelines on how to improve the track and what areas to focus on in order to potentially release it on Let's Mix It Records.

When asked about the frequency of releases, Marko Milićević mentioned that they aim to maintain a rhythm of releasing at least one track per month. However, if they receive more high-quality submissions that represent different styles, Let's Mix It! Records is open to accommodating various electronic genres and subgenres.

In the first wave of releases, Lanna, Zira, Dakman, Dakissa, The +, Nadezda D, Baka, and Pao Pausto had their premieres. So far this year, Let's Mix It! Records has released tapes by Daytona, Pao Pausto, and Lansky, which are available on all music platforms.

All young and undiscovered producers are invited to send their demo tapes to letsmixitrecords@gmail.com, with the file labeled as "artist name - song name" and a brief note accompanying the submission.

Good luck!
