Mental Health Guide for the Electronic Music Industry

The Association For Electronic Music (AFEM) has launched a mental health guide for people working in the electronic music industry. The guide aims to educate, provide practical support, and further destigmatise the subject of mental health.

“The Electronic Music Industry Guide To Mental Health” updates the 2016 Music Managers Forum Guide to Mental Health and has been produced alongside Help Musicians UK and Music Support.

The guide covers key mental health issues that impact those working in the electronic music industry; anxiety, depression, alcohol, substance abuse / dependency, through to work/life imbalance and the importance of sleep.

The guide can be viewed online and downloaded HERE

Movie - "Free Tekno" - world travelers who organize illegal parties in the forests

Free Tekno is a journey into the true underground of illegal underground techno festivals in Central Europe. The director travels with a group of Dutch and Irish young men who organize  illegal rave parties  in the forests of  Germany  and the  Czech  Republic. This is called the  underground   that is often written or referred to, but we rarely see it. As one interviewee puts it:   "We don't want money to profit, we do this out of love and be at a positive zero; if we make money, we use the money for travel or vacation expenses." "How many  parties  like this are made in which we are at all times exposed to the police shutting down music and confiscating equipment, but when you live for  electronic  music and have  enthusiasm , you do not think about blue caps" -  a director with Gunnar Hauth. Tillt Radio  is a new record store in Prishtina, opened 1 year ago. Located at BOHO in Prishtina's square, Tillt Radio record store is a very  warm place  where you can go  hang out , dig the crates for  vinyls  and enjoy  listening to music.  A while ago, I took a trip to Prishtina to meet a friend and surprise her with a vinyl from her favorite label, Klockworks I got for her birthday. That day was all about music and vinyls so, while i was there, i decided to go and visit Tillt Radio record store. I was very happy and excited for visiting the first record store in my life . I've bought vinyls before, from online record stores, but crate digging for vinyls, is a different feeling. There's nothing like crate digging! We needed a record store like Tillt Radio. I went there around 4 PM. I met Strella. He informed me about his record store and the genres he provides. There were various genres from pop, rock, blues to old electronic music. You can find some of the best
