BLOND:ISH releases a 100% biodegradable plastic-free vinyl album

BLOND:ISH releases the most sustainable vinyl record in the world

The Canadian DJ and producer has released a fully compostable compilation album "Plastic Free Party" made from bacteria.

Developed in collaboration with sustainable collective Evolution Music and vinyl pressing factory Deepgrooves, the compilation uses PHAs, which act as bacterial plastic mimics.

The Canadian non-profit organization Bye Bye Plastics points out that traditional vinyl records are the music medium with the most intense emissions, generating 12 times more greenhouse gases than other music media.

There is no compromise when it comes to sound quality According to the press release, the board will only begin to degrade after prolonged exposure to moisture or if left unprotected in a natural environment.
