Various artist - Neurotwin EP [ART21]

 ART21 (Artists Resistance Techno) is an artistic guerrilla on a system that oppresses us. 



This unique music collective gathered around the imprint includes some prolific underground names such as Vortex Count, Translate, Pulso, Aural Research, Droneghost, David Bowman, Animatek, and many more. 

Now ART21 has a new release created with the goal to raise awareness of certain diseases, and the name of the compiled release is Neurotwin. 

In the fight against Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, schizophrenia, and other diseases characterized by an imbalance in neuronal activity, there are chemical weapons, such as those that try to prevent the protein fragments known as beta-amyloid plaques from developing in the cerebral cortex, and physical, such as electrical stimulation that allow restoring the functionality of brain cells. 

This last resort, which has already been shown to be effective in modifying the activity of the cerebral cortex, is today a weapon of general intervention. Converting it to precision requires the development of individualized and predictive brain models that allow identifying where and how much to stimulate each patient. 

An international European team is working on the creation of virtual replicas of the most unknown organ in the body: the Neurotwin project. 

 According to recent research, the decrease in power in the neuronal oscillations of the gamma band of the cerebral cortex (a pattern whose frequency ranges between 20 and 50 Hertz) favors the development of protein fragments related to Alzheimer’s. 

Transcranial application of weak electrical currents has proven to be an effective and painless way to modulate brain activity without side effects. 

The objective is to create complete computational models of the brain with real data of living beings (human patients) and that allow to anticipate and specify the effects of non-invasive stimulation techniques on neurological mechanisms.

Tillt Radio Record Store, Prishtina, Kosovo

Tillt Radio  is a new record store in Prishtina, opened 1 year ago. Located at BOHO in Prishtina's square, Tillt Radio record store is a very  warm place  where you can go  hang out , dig the crates for  vinyls  and enjoy  listening to music.  A while ago, I took a trip to Prishtina to meet a friend and surprise her with a vinyl from her favorite label, Klockworks I got for her birthday. That day was all about music and vinyls so, while i was there, i decided to go and visit Tillt Radio record store. I was very happy and excited for visiting the first record store in my life . I've bought vinyls before, from online record stores, but crate digging for vinyls, is a different feeling. There's nothing like crate digging! We needed a record store like Tillt Radio. I went there around 4 PM. I met Strella. He informed me about his record store and the genres he provides. There were various genres from pop, rock, blues to old electronic music.
