Q-Dance to debut audiovisual hardstyle experience on Netflix

Q-dance, the Dutch organiser of large-scale dance events such as Defqon.1, announced that it’s innovative hardstyle show, ‘Qlimax: The Source’, will be available to stream worldwide on Netflix from 22nd December.

Originally broadcast live on the official Q-dance website, the show is a digital edition of the world-famous Qlimax festival, and takes the audience into the same mystical world that the festival is renowned for.

The line-up includes leading artists such as Sub Zero Project, Phuture Noize, Headhunterz & JDX, B-Front, KELTEK and Sefa.

Not only is this the first time that Netflix has launched a hardstyle production on its platform, it is also the very first time that a Dutch dance product will be featured on the streaming service.

Despite the fact that 2020 was a challenging year, Q-dance continued to look for ways to maintain contact with its fans.

‘Qlimax: The Source’ – a 60-minute audiovisual journey – is the pinnacle of the brand’s achievements this year, allowing the team to surprise fans with a unique concept that they could enjoy from their living rooms.

In the end, 20,000 tickets were sold to fans in 80 different countries making this one of the largest digital events of the year.

”Q-dance has created a fantastic virtual dance event with ‘Qlimax: The Source’. We are very happy that we can bring this to a worldwide audience and give hardstyle fans a bit of a festival experience in this way" -  Janey van Ierland, Manager Acquisitions & Co-Productions Benelux at Netflix.

“2020 was, of course, an incredibly challenging year for us, forcing us to be even more innovative than usual. We are therefore incredibly proud that ‘Qlimax: The Source’ has resonated with so many people – and that Netflix will be bringing the film to a global audience! We can’t wait to bring hardstyle and the mystical character Qlimax is known for to people’s homes on December 22nd" -  Jonas Schmidt, Creative Director at Q-dance

Movie - "Free Tekno" - world travelers who organize illegal parties in the forests

Free Tekno is a journey into the true underground of illegal underground techno festivals in Central Europe. The director travels with a group of Dutch and Irish young men who organize  illegal rave parties  in the forests of  Germany  and the  Czech  Republic. This is called the  underground   that is often written or referred to, but we rarely see it. As one interviewee puts it:   "We don't want money to profit, we do this out of love and be at a positive zero; if we make money, we use the money for travel or vacation expenses." "How many  parties  like this are made in which we are at all times exposed to the police shutting down music and confiscating equipment, but when you live for  electronic  music and have  enthusiasm , you do not think about blue caps" -  a director with Gunnar Hauth. Tillt Radio Record Store, Prishtina, Kosovo

Tillt Radio  is a new record store in Prishtina, opened 1 year ago. Located at BOHO in Prishtina's square, Tillt Radio record store is a very  warm place  where you can go  hang out , dig the crates for  vinyls  and enjoy  listening to music.  A while ago, I took a trip to Prishtina to meet a friend and surprise her with a vinyl from her favorite label, Klockworks I got for her birthday. That day was all about music and vinyls so, while i was there, i decided to go and visit Tillt Radio record store. I was very happy and excited for visiting the first record store in my life . I've bought vinyls before, from online record stores, but crate digging for vinyls, is a different feeling. There's nothing like crate digging! We needed a record store like Tillt Radio. I went there around 4 PM. I met Strella. He informed me about his record store and the genres he provides. There were various genres from pop, rock, blues to old electronic music. You can find some of the best
