Personal short story by Secret 47

This is an ode to the many years in my music life. I chose this particular period of time to do The Goldcast, because I wanted to express a message in these strange times through music. My first set/podcast in eight years and it took me only 47 weeks to prepare.

. This is my personal short story: It starts with a simple yet very meaningful speech (sampled by Alan Watts) about the complexity of us humans. About our dreams and how, even if we get to choose how beautiful, big, happy and crazy they are, in the end we always yearn for more. In the end we always crave the unknown and wonder if something even better might be awaiting us. Mixed with The Workers Of Art by The Cinematic Orchestra, a beautiful, sad piece (my favourite combo), which sets up the story.

. We then move on to one of my all-time favorites, a beautiful, unreleased re-edit by my brother Tito Christophe Bollé with the lyrics "Got to say mmm mmm mmm", something I've been saying a lot lately in response to the unknown and unpredictable times we are living in. A remix of Nirvana's Something In The Way mixed with Pink Floyd's Another Brick In The Wall, which reflects my feelings and opinions about what America and consequently, the world went through and experienced until the very recent change in power for the better of us all! The set continues with a mix of an unreleased masterpiece by Depart – two crazy-talented Turkish brothers named Batu Boris Bekler and Ömer Kaçmaz that will support forever – with lyrics "I see the writings on the wall". I believe walls are only good for writing graffiti.

. The next three tracks are classic me: jasha, tribal, funky, deep, trippy … with unreleased tracks by Master Burak Sar and Shkelqim Ravja and Milo Millok Kekic (two brothers from Montenegro), and a track by the amazing producer Derun.

. Then, back to classics with Simon & Garfunkel - The sound of silence by Samu.l (google for original for lyrics, because this goes beyond deep) this remix was for my son Marti, because ever since he was 4 years old, when things didn't go his way ... he always said and continues to say: Hello Darkness my old friend! followed by remix of "Everything Is In Its Right Place", a sentiment that for me has luckily become a reality. I always make sure if I go deep I go all the way, and who better to go deep with than Radiohead.

. The last track is one of my wife Donika Berisha favorites called E Love by Diringer, Haito. I lost this track for four years but never stopped searching for it until I found it again. It brings back so many memories, and the violin in it always completes me. The last piece is one of my signature final tracks for many years: a remix of Tchaikovsky that was a gift from Tito, who played at my wedding and who I have been sharing life and music with for 20 years.

. Special respect to my gifted studio partner/painter (and now a father) Artil Qarkagjija, all the artists who shared their music, trusted and inspired me, and to the artists who inspired them!

. ON & OFF COURSE Berge Sahakian Goldcap for loving me, Marti and my family from the first second we met. So much beautiful history together from Further Future to Burning man roommates (made possible by the 1 Eduardo Castillo ), our homes in Kosovo and LA and many more. But I will always LOVE YOU MORE – Sorry!
