Over 1500 DJs sign a petition to remove plastic at parties

Bye Bye Plastic is a disposable plastic removal movement from the music industry, founded on the initiative of Vivie-Ann Bakos better known as Blond: ish

Over 1500 famous DJs, including Sven Väth, Honey Dijon, Danny Tenaglia, Ben Klock, Pete Tong, Tale of Us, have signed this petition entitled "#PlasticFreeParty"

Every DJ who signs a petition is required to abide by rules prohibiting the one-time use of plastic in a DJ booth.

"Change is driven by movement. Movements are created in community, creativity, participation and idealism. The secret ingredient or superpower in this combination is music. This is absolutely what binds and unites us, so we use music for infinite good," says the founder, Vivie-Ann Bakos.

Festivals around the world are launching initiatives to reduce the use of plastic packaging, and recently some things have been launched in Ibiza - an island that is the creator of all trends.

With mental health at the top of all major conferences in the last year, 2020 is sure to bring numerous discussions around the removal of disposable plastic in the music industry.
