EXIT Festival Partners with NFT-TiX for Multi-Year Collaboration

After receiving an award for Best Innovation at the U.K Festival Awards, EXIT has entered into a multi-year collaboration with ticketing platform NFT-TiX for its upcoming festivals and events. EXIT, a multiple Best European Festival Award winner, became the first major music event in the world to use blockchain technology to sell NFT tickets for an event of this size, enabling the purchase of tickets on a decentralised ticketing platform.  It was this project that won the U.K Festival Innovation Award mentioned earlier and it has now been shortlisted for the DISRUPTOR Award at the Ticketing Business Awards, one of the most prestigious global awards in ticketing business industry.  The collaboration with NFT-TiX will include a series of events organised by the EXIT team, with a special offer for the upcoming EXIT Festival, which will take place from the 6th to the 9th of July 2023 at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad.  In addition to NFT tickets, EXIT was the first big festival

The growing effects of the internet on young people, mental health concerns, and the increasing dependence on digital technologies were the main topics of Exit's "Life is Live" panel , which concluded this year's edition of the TMRW Conference. BLOND:ISH releases a 100% biodegradable plastic-free vinyl album

BLOND:ISH releases the most sustainable vinyl record in the world  The Canadian DJ and producer has released a fully compostable compilation album "Plastic Free Party" made from bacteria.  Developed in collaboration with sustainable collective Evolution Music and vinyl pressing factory Deepgrooves, the compilation uses PHAs, which act as bacterial plastic mimics.  The Canadian non-profit organization Bye Bye Plastics points out that traditional vinyl records are the music medium with the most intense emissions, generating 12 times more greenhouse gases than other music media.  There is no compromise when it comes to sound quality According to the press release, the board will only begin to degrade after prolonged exposure to moisture or if left unprotected in a natural environment. Over 1,500 DJs from around the world have signed a petition to remove single-use plastic from the music industry

The movement, called Bye Bye Plastic, was founded by Vivie-Ann Bakos, also known as Blond:ish, and has gained support from well-known DJs such as Richie Hawtin, Honey Dijon, and Pete Tong, among others. The initiative aims to eliminate the use of plastic in DJ booths and has been named "#PlasticFreeParty".  DJs who signed the petition have pledged to adhere to the rule that prohibits the use of single-use plastic in the DJ booth. Founder Vivie-Ann Bakos says that change is driven by movements and that music is the secret ingredient in creating such movements.  She believes that music can bind and unite people, and that it should be used for infinite good.  This movement is part of a larger trend in the music industry, with festivals around the world launching initiatives to reduce the use of plastic packaging.  Ibiza, known for setting trends in the industry, has also started taking steps towards reducing single-use plastic. Humanitarians who came to ADE on bicycles collected 37 thousand pounds

Amsterdam Dance Event had a humanitarian character this year! A group of humanitarians traveled by bicycle to the capital of the Netherlands in order to collect money for the needy who want to play music, but have no way. Twenty-six artists and workers from the electronic music industry cycled for four days and covered more than 500 kilometers for humanitarian purposes. Through the traditional "ADE Cycle" campaign, humanitarians drove the route from London to Amsterdam to collect money for the "Bridges For Music" and "Choose Love" organizations. The cyclists started last Sunday and arrived right at the opening of the Amsterdam Dance Event on Wednesday. Despite bad weather, rain, faith, tired legs and minor injuries, all twenty-six cyclists completed the route and participated in raising £37,000. The cult album of The Prodigy turned 30 years old

At the end of September 1992, the legendary British band's debut album The Prodigy Experience was released. Co-founder and producer of The Prodigy, Liam Howlett is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the album that defined a generation. In a big interview for the BBC, he reflected on one of the most innovative electronic albums, the very beginning of his career, and the scene from the beginning of the 90s. "The album was influenced by the scene at that time. Everything was fresh , rebellious . We went to warehouse raves that would last until the police stopped us and chased us away." pointed out the main songwriter of The Prodigy. At the time of its release, the album peaked at number 12 on the UK Albums Chart. The production of the album itself was done from the home studio of Liam Howlett , who was only 19 years old at the time . Berlin: The Love Parade returns in the heart of summer after a 16-year pause

 The last Love Parade in Berlin was held in 2006 with 1.2 million visitors , and the last Love Parade in general was held in 2010 in Duisburg with tragic consequences. Re-opening of clubs planned for March 4

It's two years of the pandemic co19 and it's time for clubbers to get back on the dancefloor!! Are you ready?! :)  The Berlin Senate has announced the return of Berlin’s nightclubs which are now able to open at full swing with ease on most restrictions from March 4. Clubs will now be able to open on Friday, March 4, where masks will no longer be mandatory, no social distancing measures will be in place, and dancing will now be allowed. Club-goers must follow the ‘2G Plus’ rule and show proof of vaccination or recovery, and everyone will be asked to show proof of a negative test whether vaccinated or not.
