The countdown has begun for PATCH Festival , set to take place at Napoleon Komplex  in Berlin , Germany on May 26-27, 2023. Prepare to be engulfed by non-stop beats and unparalleled energy that only techno music can deliver. Part 1 - Melodic Techno / Techno:  The festival launches on Friday, May 26th, with a stellar lineup of exceptional melodic techno and techno DJs. After a four-year break, the spring edition of T ime Warp festival is returning to its home in Mannheim, Germany on April 1st.  This year's event will feature 19 hours of music on 6 dance floors, with over 40 headliners including world-famous DJs such as Sven Vath, Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Richie Hawtin, Charlotte de Witte, Nina Kraviz, The Martinez Brothers, Paul Temple, Ricardo Vilalobos, Marco Carola, Seth Troxler, and Dixon. The youth non-governmental organization " Euphoria " is organizing the sixth edition of the techno event on November 5th, 2022 at a brand new location in Prishtina. According to the founder of the " Euphoria " organization, Val Hoxha , last year's edition resulted in an unexpected number of visitors, which for him is a great motive for organizing techno events and promoting techno music in Kosovo. "The attendance at last year's techno event was unexpectedly big. Every year more and more new generations come. This gives my team the will to continue promoting the techno genre in Kosovo" - Val Hoxha.  Captured by legendary photographer Terence Donovan, who spent a night at Que Club in 1996 , the exhibition is to take place in April 2022 at Birmingham’s Museum & Art Gallery. Terence was famous for photographing royalty and legends such as Princess Diana and Jimi Hendrix, and was introduced to Club Que by his son and DJ Dan Donovan .  Stepping out of his comfort zone, he captured the scene, which a special motive for normal, everyday people to let go, dance and enjoy themselves. Jez Collins, curator of the forthcoming In The Que exhibition at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, discovered the photos while interviewing Wishart for a documentary about Que Club. Ten of the 65 images will be included in the exhibition, which opens on April 28th. "It's an amazing find after all these years," Collins told the Guardian.  On 6th April 2022, the Museum of Modern Electronic Music (MOMEM) will be ceremoniously opened in Frankfurt .  Located directly in the heart of the main city at the Hauptwache, the museum will present the exhibition “Sven Väth – It’s simple to tell what saved us from hell” ; a collaboration between close friends Sven Väth and Tobias Rehberger. “There is no better opening exhibition for MOMEM, because Sven Väth and Tobias Rehberger have each, in their own way, taken electronic music culture from Frankfurt to the world.” - said  Alex Azary , director of  MOMEM. The records, photographs, flyers, films, sounds, and Väth’s private art collection serve as the hub and starting point for this journey through electronic music culture ’s shared past since the late 1980s. The opening of the MOMEM , which is dedicated to the documentation, processing and switching of this cultural history of electronic music , will be celebrated naturally with a large public party with Sven Väth on 08.04.2021. Numerous Berlin techno artists have made remixes for the music of the long-awaited sequel to The Matrix Resurrections. The original music for the movie  'The Matrix Resurrections'  was created by electronic music artist  Johnny Klimek , director, and composer of Run Lola Run - Tom Tykwer. The duo has been working through the partnership for almost 25 years, and they were nominated for an Oscar for their work.  In addition to the original score, the list includes 35 songs and numerous remixes by influential DJs, including German techno artists Marcel Dittmann, Gudrun Gut and System 01. Techno was celebrated with thousands of fans and ravers not only in Germany or England in the 90s, but also in Poland.  The book “30 Years of the Polish Techno Scene” and an techno exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw this year 2021  were dedicated to the history of the scene. You can read more about crowdfunding, and donate to the project, here.  Now, with the book “Technowulkan” by Bartłomie Kluska , another work is published that explores the background of Polish techno and focuses on techno parades that took place in the city of Łódź.  The techno scene in Poland was very divided in the 90s  While genres like house and techno predominated in the capital, the scene in Krakow was dedicated to reggae, garage and jungle, while in Łódź it was mostly happy hardcore, jungle and dnb.  Then a team of DJs from Łódź gathered around the underground organization New Alcatraz (a community of artists associated with Club New Alcatraz) and created a revolutionary festival of club cultu

A new documentary by Laurent Garnier: Off the Record exploring the origins and rise of techno music.   The documentary explores these themes from the perspective of Laurent Garnier, French DJ and producer, and is directed by Gabin Rivoire.  Garnier was instrumental in techno’s rise within Paris and Manchester , frequenting the Hacienda and other venues that contributed to the success of techno worldwide. This documentary immerses the audience in the world of techno music by following one of the most emblematic figures of this culture.  The emerging director Gabin Rivoire convinced Laurent Garnier to give him complete and never before seen personal and professional access for the past three years. Ben Klock, Fadi Mohem & Helmut Breineder present CERN , their first audio-visual collaboration, exploring the new possibilities of blockchain technology.  The digital art piece showcases an exclusive 1 minute track by techno artist Ben Klock & rising producer Fadi Mohem , focusing on the classic TR-909 drum machine, the quintessential techno instrument, chopped and bent to sound like a heavy-hitting bouncing ball.  The futuristic music is being fed into Helmut Breineders audio responsive particle system to generate a fluid digital sculpture with multiple collisions.  Their first NFT is limited to an edition of one and will be auctioned via Foundation – the same marketplace used by the likes of Aphex Twin, Holly Herndon and Edward Snowden.  Future Scope opened the outdoors season last Saturday, June 5, and despite strict measures, held a party at Jarun during the day and night from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Senno & Sin, Jock & Shipe, te Dax J. performed that night.  And while we look forward to the relaxation and normalization of the situation, Future Scope is announcing, again at Jarun, Jeff Mills for Saturday, July 10th at 5 p.m.  For Jeff Mills , who has stood out a lot in recent years by creating space-inspired music, it is not necessary to say anything too much, because the character and the work speak for themselves.  See you on July 10 at Jarun :) 

 Techno artist from Great Britain, Dax J has announced his third studio album "Utopian Surrealism" Inspired by the book “ Sapiens ” by Yuval Noah Harari , the British techno artist composed his latest album while in quarantine. Its ten strips reflect our transition to the dystopian age.  The album " Utopian Surrealism " will be released by his record label " Monnom Black " in August. During the pandemic in 2020, when everything changed, including our way of life, Vegim was busy creating a new techno label Alhena where you can dive deeper into pure creativity of new patterns of techno culture.  An Abstract Techno label from Outer Space!  Alhena is the second imprint of Vegim .  Label is focused on dark, hypnotic, raw techno.  Artworks for covers of EPs are always linked with the whole story of that release.  The first release was Kobalt - Structural Abnormalities EP It was released in April 2020.
