Nastia launches new label NECHTO

DJ Nastia’s NECHTO label presented the LP ‘006’, taken from the musical project ‘ Scary Beautiful ’, the audiovisual music project has recently concluded the first season and is presenting the first instalment of a 5-part music release. ‘Scary Beautiful’ consisted of five DJ sessions in which Nastia played previously unreleased tracks pre-selected by electronic music producers around the world. For some artists, this was the first opportunity to have their work heard. From there, 49 tracks were selected to be released as 5 digital LPs.  The purpose of the project, which aired in partnership with Ballantine’s, was to support the electronic music industry during this difficult time through discovering aspiring new musicians and promoting their music.  Nastia received hundreds of demos by music producers from countries like Japan, Portugal, Argentina, India, Ukraine, and many others, consequently making it a global-scale initiative.  The first location where Nastia played a mix was f

Zadig launches new label with remixes signed by Perc and Oscar Mulero

Zadig kicks off the new Morrocan imprint, Sotor Records featuring remixes from heavyweight techno artists  Perc and Oscar Mulero .  Zadig is a French techno artist who has roots that date back to the 90s. He has played at major festivals and clubs globally and has an enviable discography that takes in vital releases on Deeply Rooted House, Tresor, Syncrophone Recordings and many more. He is also part of the Unforeseen Alliance live project with Voiski, Antigone, and Birth of Frequency, who are label mates on his Construct Re-Form imprint. The first release, Space Time  EP is about the lines of physics and metaphysics.  Zadig kicks off the EP with the hammering ‘Event Horizon’ (Day Is Dying Mix), an all-out assault slammer with wall rattling synths and punchy drums.  Perc has done everything from industrial noise to acerbic techno on his own Perc Trax label and a host of other fine and well-regarded outlets.  Here the UK mainstay remixes ‘ Event Horizon’ into a white knuckle ri

Techno rave held at Chillnobyl

Over the years, raves have been held in some unusual and unique locations, but we must agree that there is no more unique location than the Chernobyl zone.  “I Invite Everyone to Chernobyl Future Rave”  The host was Igor Oprya , who spent weeks cleaning the abandoned village club building and turning it into a place where a dance floor and bar could be located. The video used for the promotion showed him writing “I Invite Everyone to Chernobyl Future Rave” on a sign at the entrance to the city of Pripyat. However, not everything went smoothly, as some groups condemned him for violating the ban on the contaminated zone. Rave called “Chillnobyl” focused on strong techno, with a long list of local DJs playing until the early hours of the morning. With a well-equipped bar and a great visit, the rave went better than expected. More info and photos about Chernobyl Future Rav e  HERE !  Let's make a techno universe , we are sure we can do it :)  Let's rave! :)

Rave The Planet Parade Promotes Techno Culture

Exactly one year ago, Berlin’s Rave The Planet gGmbH (non-profit) was launched and is therefore celebrating its first small anniversary of existence.  Not a matter of course after a year like 2020.  Rave The Planet has already successfully received over 390,000.00 Euros in donations from over 24,000 people from all over the world. Among other goals, to realise a new parade in Berlin in the spirit of the original Love Parade. The non-profit organisation, which includes techno legend Dr. Motte, focuses on three major goals:  1. To protect, promote and develop the culture of electronic dance music in all its forms. And to develop it further. To promote its own as well as other charitable projects in the long term.  2. To classify the culture of electronic dance music as an Immaterial Cultural Heritage under the UNESCO.  3. To establish an official celebration of electronic dance music culture, with an annual event: A new parade, in the spirit of the Berlin Loveparade, based on its ori

Beijing club Lantern reopens at new location with three rooms

Lantern, an 11 year-old nightclub in China’s capital, has a new address.  There's a multi-purpose space, a larger area that will host "the kind of techno events that make up Lantern's core identity" and an intimate room that the club calls a "dark vault." This is the third time Lantern has changed addresses since opening in 2009. Despite enduring "all sorts of trials and tribulations time and time again" throughout the years, Lantern has become "a mainstay of techno culture in China," the club said in August. [ source ]

Techno clubs recognised as concerts by German high court

Techno and house events now qualify as concerts following the ruling of a German high finance court.  Clubs now only have to pay a 7% tax on ticket sales whereas previously they needed to fork over 19% .  So long as a club’s average visitor is there for the music, said the court, its owners qualify for the tax cut.  Accordingly, the law now formally recognizes DJs as musicians and techno as music. CDJs, turntables and mixers are also now defined as instruments. Alcohol sales have no bearing on a club’s eligibility.  The judgement was handed down on July 23rd but only published on October 29th. The legislation speaks to German lawmakers continued recognition of electronic music’s cultural value; in 2016 Berghain saw a similar tax break after a court deemed it “high art.”  Meanwhile, bars, clubs and venues in Germany will be forced to close from November 2nd-30th on account of a fall COVID-19 resurgence throughout much of Europe. The Advent returns on Klockworks imprint

Cisco Ferreira ’s seminal techno act The Advent returns to Ben Klock ’s imprint this May with three distinctly turbo-charged cuts, following his release on the label’s 22nd instalment in 2018.  A pioneer of early British techno , the London-based producer began his career in the halls of the legendary Jack Trax label as a sound engineer, going on to produce cutting edge releases on imprints R&S, Tresor and Transmat.  This latest Klockworks release relinquishes the sparse energy of T he Advent’s live sets from the 90’s with these previously unreleased timeless live recordings.  Favouring off-kilter percussion and warbled bass, all three strike hard with a distorted and visceral energy. “KW30” will be out on September o4 in digital and vinyl formats.  Pre-order HERE . Le Martz - System EP [Simplecoding]

Leando Delanuuka best known as Le Martz is one of the most relevant new artist from Buenos Aires that has grown rapidly gaining tons of recognition in the local and international scene. We first heard of his work on techno label from Kosovo,  TMM Records  with his  Magma EP  in 2017. His Debut Ep 'SIMC0007' on Simplecoding is one of our favorites and got amazing reviews from us. Very good work! Now he Le Martz comes back with his second Ep named System with 2 original tracks loaded with sequenced sounds and pounding lows. This ep also contain remixes from the Mexican Damian Vargas and the Argentinian Oruam Zior to complement nicely and making this one great 2019 finale. Our favorite form this EP is Dry but we do love both remixes! This EP will be out soon on Simlecoding owned by Juan Trujillo. We are sooooo into Argentinian # techno :)

Obzeen - The Calling album [Bubblejam]

Bubblejam  welcomes back the insanely talented -  Obzeen , with his outstanding new album -  The Calling 9 original tracks, plus 3 remixes from  Mittens ,  HART , and  kLines The Calling  opens up with a slow but sinister vibe to warm you into the tone that is set throughout this stunning body of work. The pace immediately picks up with the first main track  Arwen , blasted along by a fierce kickdrum, and falling into haunting vocals on the first break section. The whole album has a dark vibe all the way through, with lots of epic vocals, and brooding synth lines and hooks. Intelligent almost tribal feeling percussion is littered across many sections of these absolutely wicked tracks. Obzeen 'Venezuelan born - Costarican Electronic Music DJ & Producer. Moved to Costa Rica at age 8, started his musical journey exploring different genres until he found electronic music. Well known for his intense, melodic, moody sets. Absolute annihilation awaits as we welcome Modular Phaze to the Mechanikal machine with an explosive hard techno cut entitled ' Supreme Carnivore' A full-bodied, acid stomper is whats in order with this aggressive and volatile slice of hard techno madness. Relentless and unforgiving, it lives up to its name as the ' Supreme Carnivore ' of hard techno. Sure to detonate on all major hard techno dance floors globally. To celebrate the welcoming of the mighty Modular Phaze onto Mechanikal Hard , 'Supreme Carnivore' comes as a 6 track remix offering, drafting in some of hard techno s most beloved of producers. FU-5 & Vince - Rapport EP [Abstraction]

FU-5 and Vince from Argentina and Portugal Opening things on side A we have ' Compress C3 ' and ' Compress C4 ' two analog monsters where the Argentinian artist shows his wildest side. Building a fluid narrative through strong kick drums , syncopated synth sequences and uneasy hi hats he shapes these powerful tools. 'Swig' and 'Fey' are the cuts that make up the B side of the release. Showing personality and a distinctive sound, the young Portuguese artist subtly merges the Techno style of the early 2000s with the current tendencies, resulting in two very useful and effective tracks for any situation of the night. Enjoy!

Ceili - Rough N Ready [Obscuur]

After their first foray into the vinyl world last year, with a beast of a release from Time Traveler, Holland's Obscuur return with another vinyl outing, this time from Ceili. With two very strong originals and wonderful remixes from harder favourites Hadone and Rommek. At once pristine and rough, there's an attention to detail which allows every sound to pop, both across the percussive opener and the arpeggio based second track. There's definitely a hint of rave warfare in here too, it's high octane stuff for an energetic crowd. On remix duties we have the ever heavyweight Hadone , who slams his foot on the gas, playing it flat out. London regular Rommek displays the breadth of his character as usual, with a fired up breakbeat style roller closing out the release. Enjoy!

PARTY REVIEW: RWIX: Artefakt LIVE + Keith Carnal | Prishtina, KS

The night of MAR. 2, 2018, a once in a lifetime techno experience photo credit:  Adi Beqiri Everything was ready at the abandoned/former Rilindja Printing House, for the 9th Edition of Rilindja Warehouse, and so were we.  That night  we  went to the venue at 10:00 PM. While waiting outside for the doors to open,  we met a clique of techno/rave  enthusiasts from  Prishtina , who we started a conversation with, and asked us if we attended previous Editions of Rilindja Warehouse, as they told us: "This is our first time attending Rilindja Warehouse, so we would like to know what's the events are like here" So,  we  continued our conversation about the event we were about to attend in 30 minutes/ Hapësira  and we told them about the "Rilindja Warehouse" editions we attended in the past. We also informed them about  Hapësira 's concept of presenting techno artists who are actually growing further, to make them famous, and how it's aimin

PARTY REVIEW: Trips & Tics at BASStore Club, Prishtina, KS

Great party at  BASStore Club  on 17th February 2018! Music without exaggeration, objectively speaking, was brutal and concrete. The great techno duo -  Trips & Tics , from  Underground Connection  agency, made the most of it and provided the lovely audience with LOVE & DANCE! photo credit:  Nebojša Cvetković Photography The beautiful club - BASStore, with great sound system and lighting, this time, among 128bpm, shots emotions in such a cruel and tough way. It looked so wonderful for the ears and our bodies that moves in that lively techno rhythm. Techno gives you love! It should have the courage to spin "strong tracks" indoors and make the audience feel comfortable, pleasant and cheerful. Each atom of their dedication to what they do, through music, was radiated to all of us, the audience, who recognized most of the that were chosen and played by  Trips & Tics . It’s nice to feel such good vibrations released by the  techno music  that was going on,

Can you give us a short introduction to you / Shout Records / Nightmare Factory Records?  E: Thanks to you. My passion started 26 years ago. As an Italian techno DJ, i started to play 6 years ago in Europe. Later i also became producer. In 2010, i launched my first label Shout Records and in June 2011 my second label Nightmare Factory Records was born. They are two different labels with different styles of music, but both represent a lot of great artists! Last year was a great year, full of work with my labels, in the clubs, and in the studio. I worked on my first album, Structures, which was released last September on my label Nightmare Factory Records. It was a dream because you know, the first album is always something special.  - Your recently released track, "Spherical Geometry" on MFM Rec
