' Telas ' can be listened to in its " liquid state" via an interactive website. Nicolas Jaar has launched an interactive website for his third album of 2020 , Telas .  Nicolas Jaar, photo by Philip Cosores Telas , meaning “fabrics,” is Jaar’s sixth album, dating back to 2011’s Space Is Only Noise.  It follows Jaar’s album as Against All Logic, titled 2017-2019, and Cenizas, meaning “ashes,” his first album under his own name since 2016’s Sirens.  “Cenizas was the ashes of a destruction. Telas is the fabrics of a construction,” Jaar says.  The album features contributions from Milena Punzi on cello, Susanna Gonzo (voice), Anna Ippolito & Marzio Zorio (instrument makers), and Heba Kadry on mastering.   The full album can be heard below. The first taste of the album, its “liquid state,” can be listened to via an interactive website created by Abeera Kamran in collaboration with Jaar and Somnath Bhatt.  Telas will be released digitally on July 17 via Jaar’s own O

Massive Attack release new audiovisual EP, EUTOPIA

The three-track project comes with features from Young Fathers, Algiers and Saul Williams.  As the title would suggest, it pulls on the themes from Thomas More's Utopia.  "Lockdown exposed the best aspects and worst flaws of humanity," Massive Attack say about the project. "That period of uncertainty and anxiety forced us to meditate on the obvious need to change the damaging systems we live by. By working with three experts, we've created a sonic and visual dialogue around these global, structural issues; taking the form of climate emergency, tax haven extraction and Universal Basic Income."  The three songs are split up into videos, which you can view below .  The visuals aren't incredibly complex, but they get to the point, showing the lyrics on the screen and staying on theme with what the respective song is about.  They have been using their platform for change for a long time and want to make sure you get the message as well with this project.

The ADVENT - High Horse (12") [Klockworks]

Well, for us, this vinyl is so fresh :) The Advent, British techno artist, Cisco Ferreira, made for Ben Klock's imprint "Klockworks", offering up a three-track missive in his inimitable style.  Compare and contrast opener "High Horse", a formidably fuzzy and metallic chunk of peak-time techno sleaze rich in wonky vocal samples and booming bass , and the jacking techno loop-funk of "Sound Pove", which boasts plenty of restless drum machine handclaps and trippy musical samples.  Sandwiched in between you'll find "Un Named", a smoother and deeper peak-time workout that's nevertheless still tough as teak. EXIT festival needs to reduce capacity by TO 90% because of covid19

Exit Festival organisers say they will reduce the capacity of this summer's festival by "probably even more than 90% ", as a new wave of Covid-19 cases hit Serbia.  The Serbian event looked set to become one of the only major European festivals to take place this year, after the government advised organisers to move the event to August , rather than cancel altogether.  At that time, the number of new daily cases was on a steady decline in Serbia and health experts had publicly suggested that cases would fall to zero by June. However, new outbreaks of the virus have occurred in several municipalities across Serbia in the past weeks, leading organiser to suggest that the festival’s capacity could be reduced to just “a small, symbolic number of people” if the situation does not improve.  Previously, organisers had planned for the event to go ahead at 50% – equating to some 22,500 daily visitors.  “We will be further reducing the maximum number of attendees in cooridnation
