Kosovo-based organization Servis continues to keep the techno scene alive on this part of Balkan.  The next edition will be held in Youth Center in Prishtina, Kosovo on 05th MAY 2023 with legendary DJ Stingray 313.   Karma is a crew who hosts electronic music parties & festivals in Switzerland and all over the world. Wonder Light Festival is a new festival by Kuju Studio . The festival will take place on Kosovo Independence Day (FEB 16-17) at Prishtina's former brick factory. Location The factory will be filled with shocking lights & visuals by Kuju Studio and amazing music selected by: DJ Reas , George Adi , Air Bajko (LIVE), Pife ,  Liburn , Lekë , Eramah , Altin Boshnjaku for two nights in a row. Skopje Vinyl Convention  is a venue created by  Funky Fresh  (a DJ community from Skopje) which has been bringing  music/vinyl lovers  together. The new Servis   event will be organized with the Manifesta of the 14th Biennial, on September 23 in the refined cultural location KINO RINIA in the center of Pristina.  The space is ideal for a rave!   Servis Night is a series of events that explore the clubbing sounds of Kosovo's capital, Pristina , inviting internationally renowned DJs and electronic music artists to match the local and regional lineup.  This Friday, 23th September 2022, electro techno artist Parrish Smith and vocalist Mark Knekelhuis , performing as duo Volition Immanent , are coming to Pristina for the first time, so be prepared for a night of madness on the dance floor!!  Regional support will be provided by Martina Peneva from Skopje, Macedonica and local support by Servis artists Leo Lumezi and Leart Rama.  See you on the dance floor!!! by KS Clubbing crew! 

 Around 200,000 people hit the streets of Berlin on Saturday, July 9th, for Rave The Planet, the first event of its kind in the city in more than 15 years. Photo: Gm Hammond This was a very free parade , which featured over 100 DJs and a variety of floats from d ifferent crews and collectives.  Dr. Motte, the man responsible for Berlin’s first acid house parties in the late-1980s, and the Love Parade , co-founded Rave The Planet in 2020 to bring the massive street party back to Berlin for the first time since 2010.  "What a day. Unbelievable. We brought the spirit of the Love Parade back to Berlin. We did it, and with the best intentions. We, as the non-profit Rave the Planet organisation, worked long and hard on it. The Techno duo  Vegim   and  Flekitza   debut their first  12-inch vinyl release , with the hypnotic groove EP  "Shifting Operations"  on their label  TMM Recordings .  The label was founded in 2006 and to this day is constantly pushing the boundaries of techno music with the unique taste of talented artists.  "Few know that Prishtina has one of the dopest  techno  labels on the region — TMM Recordings. Awesome news! It blew my mind, indeed! 😍 Sunny Hill Music Festival will be held in Pristina from August 4 to 7, although the organizers previously announced that it will be moved to Tirana, and the reason is that they failed to get 17 hectares of land in the Kosovo capital for 99 years.... hmmm I can only say that the Sunny Hill fans are not interested in this at all, because it is only important for us to have cultural events in our city, especially after the years of the pandemic. The Sunny Hill Festival was held in Pristina for the first time in 2018, and then again in 2019. The 2020 edition was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Festival has hosted some of the world's biggest music names, including Miley Cyrus, Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, Action Bronson and dozens of other artists.  This edition of the festival will be held in Germia Park. The Sunny Hill is a music festival in Kosovo, founded in 2018 by Dua Lipa, and her father, Dukagjin Lipa. This years festival will be held from 4 to 7 August at a new location in Brnjica , near Pristina.  In 2020 and 2021, it was not held due to the pandemic. The festival has in the past brought to Pristina world music stars such as Miley Cyrus, Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix as well as many local singers. In 2018 and 2019, the festival was held in Germia Park, in Prishtina, but due to the park’s limited capacity, it will have to change its location, near Prishtina, open air location called Brnjica.  Tickets for fans are already on sale for the price of 70 euros. Part of the festival’s profits will be donated to humanitarian causes for the Sunny Hill Foundation.  So far two names of performers are announced:  One of the most versatile British rappers of our time will light up the stage of Sunny Hill Festival 2022! Tillt Radio  is a new record store in Prishtina, opened 1 year ago. Located at BOHO in Prishtina's square, Tillt Radio record store is a very  warm place  where you can go  hang out , dig the crates for  vinyls  and enjoy  listening to music.  A while ago, I took a trip to Prishtina to meet a friend and surprise her with a vinyl from her favorite label, Klockworks I got for her birthday. That day was all about music and vinyls so, while i was there, i decided to go and visit Tillt Radio record store. I was very happy and excited for visiting the first record store in my life . I've bought vinyls before, from online record stores, but crate digging for vinyls, is a different feeling. There's nothing like crate digging! We needed a record store like Tillt Radio. I went there around 4 PM. I met Strella. He informed me about his record store and the genres he provides. There were various genres from pop, rock, blues to old electronic music.  The Albanian government has approved rapid Covid testing for Unum Festival 2021!!!! Located on the beaches of Shenghin on the Albanian Riviera, the festival have undergone “careful discussions” with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the Ministry of Health who have now approved the use of rapid Covid-19 testing for 2021.  Albania is the first county in the world to approve of testing for social and cultural events.  According to a press release, “The advancing technology and accuracy of rapid tests currently allows for results within 10-15 minutes, which is all that would be required to ensure you can enjoy the festival in the way it should be enjoyed .  Charlotte de Witte has taken the No.1 spot in this year’s Alternative Top 100 DJs 2020, Powered by Beatport.  The Belgian techno dj  shot up from the No.7 spot to dethrone Carl Cox, who has claimed the No.1 title every year since the poll launched in 2018. “It’s probably the strangest year to become No.1 DJ since no one has really been DJing,” she says, “but yeah, it does mean a lot. It’s a big, big, big milestone.” In 2018, we launched the DJ Mag Alternative Top 100 DJs poll, with results generated by combining Top 100 DJs voting data with techno and house sales data from the world’s largest online electronic music shops. Techno and house events now qualify as concerts following the ruling of a German high finance court.  Clubs now only have to pay a 7% tax on ticket sales whereas previously they needed to fork over 19% .  So long as a club’s average visitor is there for the music, said the court, its owners qualify for the tax cut.  Accordingly, the law now formally recognizes DJs as musicians and techno as music. CDJs, turntables and mixers are also now defined as instruments. Alcohol sales have no bearing on a club’s eligibility.  The judgement was handed down on July 23rd but only published on October 29th. The legislation speaks to German lawmakers continued recognition of electronic music’s cultural value; in 2016 Berghain saw a similar tax break after a court deemed it “high art.”  Meanwhile, bars, clubs and venues in Germany will be forced to close from November 2nd-30th on account of a fall COVID-19 resurgence throughout much of Europe. Since 2014, Sydney’s Australian nightclubs have been struggling to survive .  Cruel licensing regulations , better known as locking laws, have closed many places and left others at a dead end. But despite this, the underground scene still lives outside the city center.  Parties are held in warehouses , parks or anywhere outdoors, where people can gather and set up a good loudspeaker .  A deep sense of passion , commitment and creativity is shaping a new era of electronic music in Sydney .  The RA team talks to DIY promoters and artists whose spirit never dies making Sydney a world-class dance venue, even if such events take place completely in the shadows.
