Technics Announces Black SL-1200GR!

In a sleek, black colored, the latest SL-1200GR model will appear, team leader, Technics Director Michiko Ogawa, says: "Our goal was to expand our top range for audio enthusiasts as well as professional DJs." The emergence of the SL-1200GR turntable, which comes as an affordable version of its SL-1200G brother, was announced earlier this year at CES 2017 in the all-around desert city of light, shadow, desire, and risk, Las Vegas.  The release of director Ogawa once again confirms the commitment of her company to the DJ culture and marks the change of attitude compared to what Creative Director Hiro Morishita told New York Times the previous month, pushed DJs into the background as a clientele for a new line with a sentence: "Our concept is analogue to hi-fi listening list. DJs are all right, but as a marketing target problematic, we do not want 1200 to sell as the best DJ-ing tool 1200 is 1200. " - directing, of course, like a DJ funnel over some more expe

TMM Records Celebrates 10 Years

Later this month, the Kosovao based TMM Records reaches a revered landmark that many can only dream of. Ten years of top draw techno music under it’s belt and championing underground talent, it’s been a stable of creation first and foremost.  In celebration of this will see a twenty-track package of all-new material from new and returning artists. A distinct dancefloor sound can be heard in the spine of their extensive back catalog, where a balance of fun and seriousness which is hard to get right is delivered time and time again in abundance.  We caught up with label boss Vegim to discuss this milestone Q&A with Vegim by Jack! Who? for deathtechno.com  > Hi Vegim, thanks for taking the time to chat, can you give us a little introduction to yourself and TMM Records?  I am Vegim and I like to think that I make techno music , own a label, try to think positive in the most negative way possible and back and I like to watch when somebody fakes himself. TMMR is my home. I like to

Zoom Festival, Leposavic, Kosovo

It’s the “Zoom” festival organized by TMM records and Radio KFOR  And trust me, I have waited to overcome the bad feelings I had at the start of the party there. But somehow, I can’t get them out of my head. After the successful festival in Mitro “Feel the Peace” where everything was unbelievably super cool, with super young people who want to hang out and listen to music and in the hope that it would be the same in Leposavic, if not better, I was disappointed a little bit. You won’t believe me, but there are still people there that mix up some things, and I expected that in Mitro, but no, it happened in Leposavic. Even though the House of Culture was reserved for the festival, both with an oral and written agreement, and music was supposed to start at 8pm and go on till 4am. But, the karate players had to hold their three hour long training (till 10pm); otherwise they would have practiced karate on us. Then, before the party, a man, dead serious, told me that he is sure

Aril Brikha @ Full House Klub, Prishtina, Kosovo

...Aril Brihka did a good live, though a bit more for Balkan people.. 2010, the night at the club FULL HOUSE with  Aril Brikha  was wonderful.  They brought additional sound system, Leg Off offered great real tech house at the beginning, and then Aril Brihka did a good live, though a bit more for Balkan people, and at the end Leg Off with a great break beat.  You can find photos from this night right here. ☆ x I’ll see you at one of the future parties. They are announced, and I will check them out, and so should you: - Sister Bliss FAITHLESS [Friday, June 10 th , 2011] @ Full House / Pristina

Active Live Music Festival @ Viva Club, Mitrovica, Kosovo

..... people that came to listen to the music threw some sort of spray, teargas or something, looks like the music hit them straight in their hearts.... Then came the Active Live Music Festival, where I played too, but very shortly because the people that came to listen to the music threw some sort of spray, teargas or something, looks like the music hit them straight in their hearts. There was a game that was watched, so maybe they thought that at the party one should cheer and throw teargas, same as you would do in a stadium. They know the reasons the best, and we aren’t interested much in that. We’ll leave everything that doesn’t deal with music, dancing and hugging to someone else.  And by clicking on the following links you can listen to two bands and a DJ announcing  themselves for the said festival:   Band – Kanda , Kođa i Nebojša   ,   Band – Šraf ,   DJ Battrič. As well as part of the report of one of the organizers: Petar Pan: “The concept of the

Eelke Kleijn @ Full House Club, Prishtina, Kosovo

Eelke is not my sound, but I had fun!  Eelke Kleijn was supposed to fly in on April 17 th , but that party didn’t happen that night (because of all the flights being postponed due to the volcano ash cloud, remember that…), nor did it happen in the announced location. It all happened on May 7 th , 2010 at the just opened club, that has a massive sound system, “the new player in town” FULL HOUSE – and as the name of the club indicates, it was full that night. You can see photos  HERE. Eelke is not my sound, but i had fun!

Steve Lawler @ Spray Club, Prishtina, Kosovo

Before this party (Eelke Kleijn 7th may) there was another one in the  Spray club. You can listen to a short interview and the announcement for the party  HERE. People who went say it was really good, but not great. And that same night I was at  underGRAND , where  Vegim  was spinning, and the people were more concentrated on dancing than the tracks. Hmmm… I guess the tracks made them dance, no?!

Black Sun Empire @ ODA, Prishtina, Kosovo

Presale tickets for this event were 3 euro and 4 euro if you bought them at the door. DNB-KS was the organizer. This was the third big event they organized. Before that, they brought Big Bud from London and DJ Lynx also from London, and now Black Sun Empire from Holland.  ODA is a great underground place, at least I like it, it’s totally my type of place. It’s in the center of the city, it’s underground, secluded, you don’t bother anyone. There’s a bar at the entrance, and after that a great spacious room, with a great stage and on both sides there are steps, where you can easily sit down and not bother anyone. And the sound system is good too. Labinot Sponca (a local DJ) was the warm up act. What did he spin? DnB. And I love everything that shakes you up and carries your entire body. All the way till Black Sun Empire started my group of friends was jumping. Even one of our friends who didn’t expect that we’d take her drumming, and she too jumped and shook all the time.  And
