The Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) says 81 percent of UK clubs will close by March 2021 without government help. Thus, the organization is urging that venues receive financial help. According to a survey conducted on over 100 clubs, many nightclubs are in jeopardy of closure. The results said that: 81 percent of nightclubs in the UK say they won’t survive past February without further support from the government. 88 percent of nightclubs in the UK have over 2 months rent arrears, with 50 percent having over 3 months rent arrears at the start of January. 86 percent of nightclubs have made redundancies with over 65 percent making over 60 percent of their workforce redundant before the end of 2020. 43 percent of the nightclubs surveyed have not received any grant support from the government.
