Ambassador Award 2023 - KUJU Studio from Kosovo for the "Best Art Production of the Year"

Tillt Radio Record Store, Prishtina, Kosovo

Tillt Radio  is a new record store in Prishtina, opened 1 year ago. Located at BOHO in Prishtina's square, Tillt Radio record store is a very  warm place  where you can go  hang out , dig the crates for  vinyls  and enjoy  listening to music.  A while ago, I took a trip to Prishtina to meet a friend and surprise her with a vinyl from her favorite label, Klockworks I got for her birthday. That day was all about music and vinyls so, while i was there, i decided to go and visit Tillt Radio record store. I was very happy and excited for visiting the first record store in my life . I've bought vinyls before, from online record stores, but crate digging for vinyls, is a different feeling. There's nothing like crate digging! We needed a record store like Tillt Radio. I went there around 4 PM. I met Strella. He informed me about his record store and the genres he provides. There were various genres from pop, rock, blues to old electronic music. You can find some of the best

Genetic code covid19 has been transformed into ambient music and NFT

The genetic code of co19 has been turned into a set of  tracks  that are available for possession as NFT. Behind the project is Viromusic , who created ambient music, created using the "genetic sequence within the Coronavirus". “Using a technique called DNA Sonification, the melody in the songs is entirely derived from a viral sequence. Each note in the melody is part of the step-by-step instructions the virus uses to make multiple copies of itself. ”  They added compilation instruments such as cello and bass to finalize the sound. By the way, so far 10,000 songs have been made that use genetics in a wide range of music genres. The songs are available on the Rarible platform as NFT with a starting price of 0.07 Ethereum , which is somewhere around 249 euros. Owners are given details about their specific track including which part of the COVID genetic sequence corresponds to the code used in the song as well as, a description of what that gene is used for in the virus. No Sleep Festival  is set to have a grand celebration of its European title in Belgrade in the spring!   After a two-year break, No Sleep, still officially the Best New European Festival, is coming back to Belgrade with two editions in 2022.  In addition to the regular date in November, there will be an additional celebratory edition on 8th and 9th April 2022.  The location remains the Port of Belgrade, but this time, it is the new, even more enormous, and more spectacular Matrez hangar, whose brutalist architecture will take your breath away at first sight!  After a four-year break, we’ll see the return of Nina Kraviz , whose performance at this year’s EXIT was, in the opinion of many, one of the best in the world in the entire year! Her record label is working overtime, and the techno-trance anthem “Lolytrance,” signed by Antigone, is considered by many to be the track of the year! While we wait for the new single and the upcoming album, we can “meet” Nina in the super-popular game

Since it’s raise, the Berlin Wall was a political and cultural barrier. The fall of the wall was the start of many great artists and clubs like Ostgut Ton's Berghain, E-Werk, and Tresor which made Berlin's techno scene very impactful and inspiring.  To celebrate the 30th Anniversay of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, Hapësira organized RWXVI x DEnacht E02 in collaboration with the German Embassy in Prishtina, in love and honor of Germany, its electronic music scene, and Ambassador Held without whose support “Rilindja Warehouse” would have been taken from Hapësira, leaving us the electronic music community without our favorite venue where so many unforgettable memories were made. Before the event, we were listening to Tobias - Like A Drug [Ostgut Ton]  & Answer Code Request's Boiler Room Berlin DJ Set, to warm up for the party. As always, we went to Rilindja Warehouse before the doors were open to avoid the queue so we could be inside from start to end, to listen to the perf

Vinyl sales have increased 108% in 2021

Some would say that the gramophone record is a medium of the past, but vinyl is experiencing a real revolution in the 21st century.  The records experienced the peak of their careers from the 1920s to the 1980s, after which the demand for them suddenly disappeared, due to the appearance of CDs. Today, many experts and people from the industry claim that gramophone culture has never been completely eradicated, but that its presence has simply been less in certain periods of time. Vinyl has practically never stopped being produced and sold, primarily thanks to DJs and DJ culture. This boom in sales is an impressive 108% increase in comparison to the same time period in 2020 where 9.2 million vinyl records were sold. Although Vinyl for the last few years has started to consistently outperform CD sales, which in the first half of 2021 stood at 18.9 million units sold.  Some of the top-selling vinyl releases of the year include Harry Styles’ ‘Fine Line’, Billie Eilish’s ‘When We All Fall
