Amsterdam Dance Event had a humanitarian character this year! A group of humanitarians traveled by bicycle to the capital of the Netherlands in order to collect money for the needy who want to play music, but have no way. Twenty-six artists and workers from the electronic music industry cycled for four days and covered more than 500 kilometers for humanitarian purposes. Through the traditional "ADE Cycle" campaign, humanitarians drove the route from London to Amsterdam to collect money for the "Bridges For Music" and "Choose Love" organizations. The cyclists started last Sunday and arrived right at the opening of the Amsterdam Dance Event on Wednesday. Despite bad weather, rain, faith, tired legs and minor injuries, all twenty-six cyclists completed the route and participated in raising £37,000. More than 1,000 events attract over 400,000 visitors to the Dutch capital by the end of the weekend.   Amsterdam is hosting more than 2,500 DJs, producers, promoters, and all other people from the world of electronic music for the next few days.  The 25th edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event will take place from 21 to 25 October 2020, for the first time in digital format. This year's program also includes several COVID concerts with mandatory seating and physical distance, as well as intercultural projects called ADE Specials.   This part will be held in Amsterdam in cooperation with the city council.
